About Me
Originally from Hong Kong, I was trained and qualified in Scotland. As an experienced Chartered Librarian for 15 years, I have diverse experience across high schools, further education, and prison settings. I possess a deep understanding of challenges faced by individuals from various cultural, professional, educational, and socio-economic backgrounds.
My commitment to supporting others extends beyond librarianship. I embarked on my counselling training journey while continuing my librarian role within prison setting. I have volunteered as a Listener for a charity focused on suicide prevention and currently serve as a Volunteer Therapist at West Lothian Drug and Alcohol Service. Through facilitating therapeutic writing workshops and CBT Psychoeducation Workshops in Anxiety and Depression for prisoners, I strive to make a positive impact on those affected by trauma or by other mental health issues.
I provide therapeutic services to enhance mental wellbeing through Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), along with trauma-informed and compassion-focused approach. My expertise includes personalised treatment plans in a safe, empathetic, and non-judgemental environment. Together, we will work to achieve your mental health goals.
Life can present us with profound challenges, and my journey is a testament to resilience and transformation. Having navigated the loss of loved ones through terminal illnesses and suicide, experienced the heartache of a long-term relationship breakdown, faced work-related stress and burnout, I understand the depths of struggle. Coupled with my professional expertise and the passion for helping others, I am committed to supporting those seeking to transform their lives.
I believe that I can offer hope and guidance to those in need.
